Sarah Hess

Sarah obtained her 200-hour hatha yoga training from All People Yoga Center, Indianapolis, in 2006. In 2010, she continued her training and completed her 500-hour certification through Heartland Yoga Therapy in Indianapolis. She is a certified teacher and member of Indiana Yoga Association. She is also a member of International Association of Yoga Therapists. Sarah enjoys teaching gentle to challenging classes incorporating her knowledge of hatha, vinyasa, gentle, and yoga therapy principles. She also incorporates breath work, proper alignment, and body awareness into her classes. 
In 2015, Sarah became a member of the Pow{h}er Method.  She is now certified in and teaches Tap n' Pow{h}er, Hold n' Pow{h}er and Barre n' Pow{h}er.  She enjoys empowering people to become more strong and confident.
She has recently completed her Reiki Level 1 training.


Sarah Hess instructs the following:
  • Yoga Basics
  • Relax, renew and re-energize! Gentle movement for all levels of yoga students.   We keep this class uncomplicated so students of all levels can learn at a very relaxed pace. A great class for beginning students.

  • All Levels Yoga
  • Open to all levels, this vinyasa practice features flowing movement. Modifications will be offered so that students can tailor the class to meet their specific needs.

  • Yin Yoga
  • Yin Yoga targets the connective tissues, such as the ligaments and even the joints of the body that normally are not exercised very much in a more active style of asana practice. The postures will be held from 1-5 minutes. The use of props will be integrated into the hold of the postures so that the muscles can fully relax and the connective tissue can then be reached. The yin portion of the class will last approximately 40 minutes, we will then do a few Sun Salutations to address the yang (heating) portion of the class and finish with deep relaxation.


  • Gentle Yoga
  • Enjoy a class with poses and breath techniques woven together to make a gentle, beautiful tapestry for your practice. This class is appropriate for beginners.

  • Barre CARDIO

  • Barre Express
  • A slightly shorter version of Barre. Barre classes provide lengthening and chiseling results fast using small isolated holds with tiny movements and tremendous mental connection. Expect an extreme challenge and prepare to leave feeling calmly energized with this hands on personal group training session.

  • tap n' pow{h}er
  • tap n’ pow{h}er, a balance fusion class, is designed to shape, tone and elongate while delivered with messages of empowerment. tap n’ pow{h}er is an extremely form focused method based on 25 years of dance research and experience, and over a decade of mind body fitness study, training, and master instruction. Combining rotational, linear, isometric, range of motion and compound movement, tap n’ pow{h}er takes you on a challenging and empowering journey unlike any other.

  • Barre Express
  • Barre is a fitness method founded on the technique of dance, the mind body aspect of yoga, and the core work from Pilates.

    Barre produces results fast using small isolated holds with tiny movements and tremendous mental connection. Expect an extreme challenge and prepare to leave feeling calmly energized with this hands on personal group training session.
