Shannon Clulow

Shannon Clulow is a lifelong athlete who has been practicing yoga since 2000. Shannon holds a Bachelor's Degree in Art History, and has completed advanced coursework in Health & Wellness and Anatomy & Physiology. A former marathon runner, gymnast, and coach, she was initially attracted to the physical challenge of yoga, but quickly discovered the benefits of injury prevention, learning to breathe, focus, reduce stress, de-clutter, and embrace yoga philosophy both on ad off the mat. Shannon is an instructor certified at the 200 hour RYT level, and will complete training for the 500 hour RYT in April 2018.

Shannon became certified to teach Barre classes in 2013, and is proud to also be a class instructor for the Pow(h)er Method, leading classes in both Tap 'n Pow(h)er and Hold n' Pow(h)er.
 
Outside of the studio, she spends her time traveling, hiking, and kayaking with her family & dogs, and studying yoga daily in order to be able to offer informed, challenging, and thoughtful classes. Her wish is to help everyone who comes through the doors at Zen Fitness leave feeling empowered, confident, and open to possibility.

Caroline Bell

Caroline has been involved with exercise her whole life through various sports. After college, she was ready for a new exercise challenge, so she joined Zen. After joining Zen fitness in 2013, she fell in love with the classes and the people. Caroline is certified in Barre n Pow{h}er and Tap n Pow{h}er. She loves the mind- body connection focus of the Pow{h}er methods, as well as the empowering message. Caroline truly enjoys getting to know each client while leading them through their exercise experience.

Sarah Hess

Sarah obtained her 200-hour hatha yoga training from All People Yoga Center, Indianapolis, in 2006. In 2010, she continued her training and completed her 500-hour certification through Heartland Yoga Therapy in Indianapolis. She is a certified teacher and member of Indiana Yoga Association. She is also a member of International Association of Yoga Therapists. Sarah enjoys teaching gentle to challenging classes incorporating her knowledge of hatha, vinyasa, gentle, and yoga therapy principles. She also incorporates breath work, proper alignment, and body awareness into her classes. 
In 2015, Sarah became a member of the Pow{h}er Method.  She is now certified in and teaches Tap n' Pow{h}er, Hold n' Pow{h}er and Barre n' Pow{h}er.  She enjoys empowering people to become more strong and confident.
She has recently completed her Reiki Level 1 training.

Brittany Borella

Brittany has always been a fitness fanatic; a dancer since age 5, she switched to a more traditional gym and group fitness routine when she went to college. After moving to Columbus upon graduation, she started attending yoga and barre classes at Zen Fitness and began focusing on more mind-body activities.

Brittany received her initial BarreAmped certification in January 2015. She re-certified in the Barre n' Pow{h}er method in Nov 2016 and then in Tap n' Pow{h}er in June 2017. She also enjoys hiking, cooking/nutrition, boating, and spending time with friends and family.

tap n’ pow{h}er, a balance fusion class, is designed to shape, tone and elongate while delivered with messages of empowerment. tap n’ pow{h}er is an extremely form focused method based on 25 years of dance research and experience, and over a decade of mind body fitness study, training, and master instruction. Combining rotational, linear, isometric, range of motion and compound movement, tap n’ pow{h}er takes you on a challenging and empowering journey unlike any other.
