tap n' pow{h}er

This class is taught by:

Brittany Borella

Brittany has always been a fitness fanatic; a dancer since age 5, she switched to a more traditional gym and group fitness routine when she went to college. After moving to Columbus upon graduation, she started attending yoga and barre classes at Zen Fitness and began focusing on more mind-body activities.

Brittany received her BarreAmped certification in January 2015 and is excited to start sharing her passion with others. She also enjoys hiking, cooking/nutrition, and spending time with friends.

Shannon Clulow

Shannon Clulow is a lifelong athlete who had been practicing yoga since

2000. Shannon holds a Bachelor's Degree in Art History

and has recently completed advanced

coursework in Health & Wellness and Anatomy &

Physiology. A former gymnast & coach, she was initially attracted to the

physicality of yoga, but quickly discovered the benefits of injury prevention,

learning to breathe, focus, reduce stress, de-clutter, and embrace the yoga

philosophy both on and off the mat. Shannon also finds that yoga is the perfect

complement to distance running, another favorite pastime.

Kate Connor, owner of Zen Fitness, introduced her to BarreAmped and Shannon

realized it was just the challenging workout she had been looking for. She became

certified to teach BarreAmped in September 2013.  Shannon has also completed her 200 RYT training through Lezlie Ward and Yoga from the Heart.

Jordyn Volmerding

A dancer throughout high school and college, Jordyn graduated from St. Mary of the Woods college in 2012 with a B.S. in Psychology.  She bean taking classes in january 2016 with sole intention of preparing for her spring wedding and fell in love with both the Zen Fitness classes and the community.  Jordyn completed her Barre n' Pow{h}er Level 1 Certification in late 2016.  She enjoys all things chocolate, spending weekends at the lake, and spoiling her fur babies Crews, Addy and Miller.
